Scooby
Doo- Mystery Incorporated
Preview 4-5-2010 (Series begins in July)
Production - Warner
Brothers - Cartoon Network
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (originally known as Scooby-Doo – Mystery Inc.)
is the eleventh incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo Saturday morning
cartoon TV series and is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
19 episodes have been ordered.
This is a bit of a new take on the series. For those of
us who watched for years, there were some big surprises!
First, The parents are now in the picture! (Not necessarily based on how we knew them.)
Still an interesting take.
Second, Daphne and Fred are a bit more "open." We always
knew, but the relationship is full speed this time! |

As for the characters, Scooby and Shaggy are
their classic selves! The artwork is a bit more edgy, but in a good
way. Velma now wears a ribbon in her hair! (A small one.) That
brings us to the next point, Velma has a thing for Shaggy, and
although a bit more reluctant, he appears to have a bit of a thing
for her. He is, however, afraid Scooby will be offended ! |
Over at out Yahoo
site, the Review on Velma is a bit mixed, My own feeling are
that this is many fold better then the ill fated "Get a
Clue" series. Generally, the voice acting is
good to very good! It is the same cast as "What's
New Scooby Doo?" with Matthew Lillard taking the roll of
Shaggy.
The shows now build off of each other, and the premier
leaves us with a cliff hanger! |

Show Description:
Crystal Cove boasts a long history of poltergeists, demon
possession, phantoms and other paranormal occurrences. The renowned
sleuthing Mystery Inc. team of: Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and
Scooby-Doo arrive to prove all these manifestations are simply
false, but they are unaware that the locals do not
welcome their help. |
In summary, I am very happy with the outcome of this
new series. Purists will complain about how some of the facts don't line
up with the old series, but we are now 40 years down the line and the
series has to fit in with our changing culture. I think it succeeds and
am looking forward to seeing the series at length! Folks, The gang is
back !!!
